After the Adventure by TwilightFlopple After the Adventure by TwilightFlopple
After another long adventure, Daring puts her hooves up at home and dresses her many aches, bruises and sprains. Adventuring isn't easy! Suddenly, the dashing mare spots you.

"Care to help?" :icondaringdoplz:

Another adventure begins!

Sorry for my long absence from art; a long work week followed by a two week vacation ensured I'd be out of the loop and totally unproductive for as long as possible. :3

I'm a total Daring Do fangirl. Read It and Weep is my favorite episode of pony, and as much as I love Rainbow Dash, I find Daring totally irresistible. Her colors, her voice, her adventures make my heart swoon. Thought it was time to pay tribute to my heroine with a sexy situation and pose of her own. Instead of drawing her in danger or something I thought it'd be nice to see the ladylike side as she patches her wounds, relaxes, and is open for some more sensual adventures. A full day of adventuring can't be easy work.

That's a hot water bottle she's sitting on, by the way, half because it's hard to tell and half because I'm not sure people know what a hot water bottle is anymore. :p

She probably needs to get all those treasures just to stay on top of her medical expenses.

Neat! Always good to see a little more of Daring Do, and yes - a girl needs a break in between all that adventuring, too, a little time to rest and mend and refill her energy.

"Paleobotany"? Sounds exciting. :) And the hot water bottle is a cute touch; please don't tell me people aren't familiar with those anymore. ;)

You keep outdoing yourself with each major new piece lately... Simply amazing. You're making me a Daring Do fan -- and I mean, I already liked her, you're just making me.. a BIG fan.
There are so many little details on the legs and hooves taht I love here; it's hard to really explain accurately but, that 'calf' of the leg beneath/behind the hoof? The way you shape and shade it is just... well, really good. And the place just under the 'knee' of the one facing away... and the curvy shape, and the pose, and the, and the.... Nnnngh, just too good.

I'm going to go for broke on the sappy scale and say that your art might be one of my favorite things in the fandom -- every time you do a major new piece I feel like the early days when you were still struggling with making your stuff "not look so G1-like" but it was unique and beautiful. I don't remember when exactly it was I found and fell in love with your stuff but it certainly takes me all the way back to those amazing early days of the fandom itself, filling me with this comfortable warmth, when you come out with something new -- one of the best times to be reminded of. And it's really extremely rare for me personally to get that kind of feeling to such a degree from 'sultry' art.. you're certainly doing something uniquely great by being able to achieve such.

I remember what a hot water bottle is. I used to use them when I was a kid. Sexy and awesome as always Flopple.

Makes me think of the kissing scene from Raiders of the Ark. Is there anywhere it DOESN'T hurt Daring?

*starts humming the Indiana Jones theme*

Personally, I always did like the idea that Daring Doo is a real person (or pony in this case) and the stories are real, if not a bit over exaggerated.

Heh, I knew what she was sitting on the second that I saw it. Mainly because I'M at the age when I saw the things used a LOT when I was a kid (early 60s and onwards).

Matter-of-fact, I saw my mom and HER mom (my Grandma Blankenship) use them for their hubbys (my dad and grandpa, respectively) quite often back then. ' dad worked for the US Postal Service, and in addition to being Assistant Postmaster at our local post office (in Thayer, MO) and taking care of stuff (sorting mail (yeah, they ACTUALLY used to that by hand, believe it or not! Or my DAD and his co-workers did, anyway), and such), he ALSO walked the route delivering mail just about everyday. And THAT's a LOT of walking, believe you me! But Thayer's still SMALL enough (compared to SOME towns, anyway) that the mail carriers still just WALK the route, rather than using the small delivery truck that are so common nowadays.

My grandpa? Well, he and my grandma had a small farm, AND he worked for one of the local funeral homes digging graves (by hand and shovel, mind you! THIS was back when they still DID that, rather than using a backhoe, or something. Also back when they still buried you EXACTLY 6 feet under!), so, by the end of the working day (whatever he did), he really NEEDED that hot water bottle!

Oh no her wings ;_;

So this is where you'd been off to! Worth it. Those rich colors I'm so envious of are back!
Amazing work as usual, girl!

(For the record, I didn't notice the hot water bottle--or for that matter, this picture's *ahem* charming nature--about half an hour later when I'd finally woken up. Now that I have, neither will leave my mind.)

Glad you are back Foxxy, love the color tones you used for her hair. Much more interesting then just plain black hair with grey highlight.

Also i know what hot water bottles are as well, though the closet thing to them ive seen is heat packs :D

Gosh this Daring Do is mega adorable. And hot water family may have owned one at one time. Therapeutic and warm before all the new technology was available.

So cute! And while I've only actually seen them in old cartoons, I still know a hot water bottle when I see it!
