At Disneyland- Mad Tea Party

Part one of a potential "ponies at Disneyland" series.

This one was tricky, not only to draw the tea party ride vehicle, but to render the background appropriately. After observing long-exposure photographs of the ride at Disneyland, I created some hanging paper lantern "smudges" (top) with marker and rendered the rest in pastels, smearing everything with my finger, which hurts quite a lot right now.

The poses here were also quite difficult, even if Rainbow's pose was taken pretty much directly from the end of her "Find a Pet" song. It was nice to have an excuse to draw her looking like that, actually, I really like those faces.

Maybe it was a bad idea to let Derpy and Pinkie spin the cup...?
