I rise early, and my sister sleeps late, but still we get along just fine.

So a while ago I struck up a cordial friendship with Mitch (M. A.) Larson on Twitter, and after a while decided to draw him an "official" ponyself picture. It was based on an image he had initially used for his Twitter icon, involving him juggling a cell phone and a baby in an airport terminal. It was pretty easy to substitute Diamond Tiara for the baby.

Oh yeah, Mitch wrote Sonic Rainboom, Luna Eclipsed and a lot of the other top-tier pony episodes. Per his request the setting is "Foxxy's Fine Art and Semicolons".

You made them both look adorable

That's a neat design for a stallion, btw. I like how you can clearly see he's a male character even though you used none of the "blockyness" of the usual FiM design for stallions.

Also, friends with M.A. Larson. The M.A. Larson. So jealous.

Haha yes it is amongst the least likely things that's happened to me in the Pony universe.. I'm glad you like the way I drew him, too. Boyponies don't always look very interesting (look at the million and one Brony OCs out there), so it was fun to dress a pony up enough to still be identifiably a real person. Would do again!!

Well, (partly) blame the pony generator

Also, I guess if you want to make your OC noticeable but don't have much experience in drawing, there is always the temptation to rush off into Blingbling Midnightsue Starsparkle territory. This image is a good example of how you can give an OC a few unique features without doing that.

Hahaha yes. Same thing with furry characters - the absurdly over the top "rubber demonwolf skiger" ones. I figured the furthest I wanted to push my pony was adding the hair band, which is unusual but not outside the realm of probability for the show.

An Alfred Hitchcock cutie mark? This man has taste, though I can only imagine what Sonic Rainboom and Luna Eclipsed would be like if they were truly written in a Hitchcockian tone.

I can see him being Diamond Tiara's uncle or much older cousin.
