So I recently realized something important: actually, I am the best pony. As a result, I felt like drawing myself a bit more!
My Disneyland series went over quite well, so I thought I'd try more Disney-Pony crossover material. When I worked at Walt Disney World (that's the one in Florida) my two favorite attractions to work were Pirates of the Caribbean and the Riverboat (the big white one that goes around the river). I especially liked the Pirates costume, which has remained unchanged pretty much since the 70s and is basically a big soft set of pyjamas. It was a flomfy blouse, red velour vest, leather belt, flare legged pants and, eventually, orange and red striped knee socks.
I still have my Pirates socks, and my belt, which is one of the leather ones when most of them I think are now plastic ("You could hang yourself with it!", the wardrobe guy helpfully exclaimed when I was issued it). I also used to enjoy waving around the sword very much. We used to get them from the gift shop until one foolish pirate managed to lose six of them in one day. Later I bought a toy pistol from the gift shop which I brought home, dissassembled, sanded all of the toy paint off of, re-painted to look real, reassembled, and aged - they nearly didn't let me on the bus with it.
Good times..... enjoy!
